Consultation & fees
Clear scope and fee structure before substantive work — initial meetings at our Chin Swee Road office or by secure video.
Initial consultation
First meetings are scheduled for 45 to 60 minutes. We review your documents, identify the statutory framework, and outline realistic next steps. Criminal enquiries should include any police letter, charge sheet, or bail condition. Civil and commercial enquiries should include correspondence you have sent or received.
Consultations take place at 151 Chin Swee Road, #09-04 Manhattan House, or by video for clients who cannot attend in person. Saturday slots are available by prior arrangement.
Fee structure
Legal fees depend on complexity, urgency, and forum — State Courts, General Division, or appellate work. We do not publish fixed price menus because no two files present the same evidential or procedural load.
Initial consultation from SGD 180 for a standard single-matter review. Extended consultations involving multiple documents or co-accused strategy are quoted before booking.
Ongoing representation is billed on agreed terms — fixed fee stages where scope is definable, or hourly rates with cost estimates reviewed at each milestone. Additional counsel, experts, or disbursements are discussed before commitment.
We provide a written fee proposal before substantive work begins. That proposal states scope, billing method, and when interim invoices are issued. You may accept, request adjustment, or decline without obligation beyond the consultation fee already agreed.
What affects cost
- Number of accused persons or parties and volume of disclosure
- Whether interim hearings or urgent injunctions are required
- Need for expert evidence, translation, or forensic analysis
- Timeline imposed by court directions or regulatory deadlines
